The European Geosciences Union (EGU) is the leading organisation for Earth, planetary and space science research in Europe. With partner organisations worldwide, they foster fundamental geoscience research, alongside applied research that addresses key societal and environmental challenges. Their vision is to realise a sustainable and just future for humanity and for the planet.
The Annual General Assembly of the EGU is Europe’s largest and most prominent geosciences events and attracts more than 16,000 scientist from across the world. Due to the risks caused by COVID-19 the 2020 assembly has been cancelled and replaced by an online event EGU2020: Sharing Geoscience Online (#shareEGU20)
