Learning from the 2020 floods in Thiès : Strengthening urban planning to reduce flood risks in Senegal

This paper is based on a study by the Zurich Flood Resilience Alliance Post Event Review Capability (PERC) analyzing the 2020 floods in Thiès, Senegal. It presents a series of resilience lessons on urban planning from the 2020 floods, based on key informant interviews and a literature review, and highlights opportunities to strengthen urban planning to reduce flood risk in Senegal.
