Building Flood Resilience in a Changing Climate

Our studies on flood risk management systems in the United States, Germany and England reveal that despite many activities by stakeholders, current approaches do not adequately factor in the changing risk landscape linked to climate change, land-use planning and development practices. The reports (one overview report of combined findings, as well as country specific reports for the USA, UK, and Germany) urge a holistic, forward-looking approach to managing flood risk, among other actions, in order to strengthen societal resilience to floods.
